My sessions at TechEd 2014 in Houston

With the merger of MMS into TechEd it is quite likely that TechEd 2014 in Houston will be filled to the borders.

So MMS in Vegas was cancelled, Techmentor did not want me, but luckily the TechEd folks (Microsoft) did.

I’m happy to announce I got a bunch of breakout sessions at TechEd in addition to my previously announced ConfigMgr 2012 R2 pre-conference with Kent Agerlund.

Pre-Conference – Using Microsoft System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager in the Real World: Notes from the Field

If you are into ConfigMgr, this is the pre-conference to attend. In a full day you learn to master the premier systems management platform (ConfigMgr is currently managing two thirds of all enterprise clients in the world, very cool)

Breakout Sessions

Apparently I will be busy at TechEd, in addition to the pre-conference I ‘m presenting the following four breakout sessions:

Advanced MDT 2013 Customizations: Dueling MDT Enhancements

This is a session about taking MDT 2013 to its outer limits. Scripts, PowerShell, Frontends, Databases, Web Services and debugging. You can expect a lot of live demos, tips and tricks.

Building the perfect Windows 8.1 Image

The session that never dies, this is how you build reference images for any type of deployment solution (even though I hope you’re using MDT and/or ConfigMgr).

Real World Windows 8.1 deployment: Notes from the field

Simply a sessions filled with tips & tricks for production deployments. Learn about deploying to EUFI enabled hardware, work with drivers, updates, packages/applications, BitLocker, PXE, Multicast and more.

Top ten Deployment Issues

This is a favorite session, and again presented together with my good friend Mikael Nystrom. This is were you get answers to all your OSD questions, and even if you run out of questions, we are well prepared with solutions and workarounds for common OSD issues we encountered, and fixed, over the last years.

Instructor lead labs

I’m also signed up for at least one of the OSD instructor lead labs. I will update this post once the full schedule is announced.

Hope to see you at TechEd!

I haven't published that list, but most of the features are documented in the MDT documentation.

Hi Johan, I was going back over the Dueling MDT Enhancements video from Teched. You mentioned that there was 280 enhancements for for OSD, Is there a list of them somewhere? Sorry I searched, couldn't find it.
Thanks

Hi Saravanan,

I have a crazy schedule at TechEd, but the best time to chat is most likely at any of the varios instructor led labs sessions I'm helping out with: WIN-IL201, WIN-IL201-R, WIN-IL200-R and WIN-IL300-R.

Other than that, after any of the breakout sessions I'm presenting is normally also a good time (be prepared for a line of people though).

A breakout session is a lecture-style presentation, an instructor led lab is divided in some lecture and some hands-on-labs (you are doing the hands-on-labs on a computer).

Excited to see you there!

First time going…whats the difference between a breakout session vs an Instructor led lab?
