We're happy to announce the Hydration Kit for Windows Server 2025, SQL Server 2022 and ConfigMgr Current Branch has been released!
This kit builds a complete ConfigMgr Current Branch 2403 infrastructure running on Windows Server 2025 and SQL Server 2022, including optional Windows 10 and Windows 11 clients. This kit is tested on the Hyper-V virtual platform, but should work fine on other virtualization platforms like VMware, Virtual Box, KVM etc.
Alongside updates for Windows Server 2025 and SQL Server 2022, several core PowerShell scripts have been refreshed—and we're continuing efforts to replace the legacy VBScript components used in our task sequence steps with modern PowerShell equivalents.
You can download the kit and check for future updates on GitHub: https://github.com/DeploymentResearch/HydrationKitWS2025
If you encounter any issues, please submit them via the GitHub issues page and we'll respond as availability allows.

Hello, I got an issue here but I read on a previous guide that the comments is the place to check… 😉 https://github.com/DeploymentResearch/HydrationKitWS2025/issues/14
Thanks for reaching out, I'll review the issue posted on GitHub, I'm just a bit swamped at the moment.
Any idea how one can obtain MDT 8456? All searches have come up empty for me
Wayback machine seems to be working
Need just one simple single list of install instructions for a laptop with D: drive. Currently, instructions in video are difficult to f with so many stops and starts; and tangent discussions… Thank you.
Hyper-V client is already installed on Windows 11, and hardware is already in place.with NVMe and memory..
For example, which script run installs the folder structure? Current process is not easy to follow.
Thank you for all of your hard work, I greatly appreciate it, I just need to be able to follow it easier, Kurt Peterson
Hi Kurt,
Thank you for the feedback. To install the kit on a different volume, change the path: .\New-HydrationKitSetup.ps1 -Path D:\CMLab -ShareName CMLab
