@Stephen, I found out that the problem is that WinPE is not able to resolve your Architecture (x84 or x86)(or at least im our environment) i modified the WDS Toolkit package and cut out the x64 and x86 folder, then I had to modify the ZTiPatches.wsf to cut out an extra Dash. It would be easier to fix the architecture problem though.

Hi, I'm having this exact issue; however, I have an MDT package created from the wizard within ConfigMgr. What could be the issue? Also, where should the Servicing folder reside?

Thanks Johan!

I have now created a new MDT package using the Wizard as you suggested and then everything works like a charm! 🙂

Thanks a lot for your help and keep up the good work!

That's not a valid MDT 2010 files package for ConfigMgr 2007, the servicing folder is missing (which also relates to the error you got). You need to create the MDT 2010 files package using the Create Microsoft Deployment Task Sequence wizard.

Can you post the link to a screenshot of the content of your MDT Packages folder? (or a recursive directory listing)

Can you zip all the logs, including your exported task sequence, upload it somewhere and post the link here…

Sorry for the late reply…

I get the following error in my SMSTS.log:

Failed to run the action: Install Updates Offline.
The system cannot find the file specified. (Error: 80070002; Source: Windows)

Right before the error I got this:
FAILURE (Err): 76: Copy Folder: C:_SMSTaskSequenceWDPackageServicingX86 to C:_SMSTaskSequenceServicing – Path not found
About to run command: "C:_SMSTaskSequenceServicingpkgmgr.exe" /o:C:;C:windows /n:"C:WINDOWSpantherunattendunattend.xml" /l:C:_SMSTaskSequenceSMSOSDOSDLOGSBDD_pkgmgr.log /s:C:_SMSTaskSequenceSandbox /quiet /norestart
ZTI ERROR – Unhandled error returned by ZTIPatches: The system cannot find the file specified.
(-2147024894 0x80070002)
Command line returned 2147942402

Does this make any sense?

Well, the Install updates offline task uses the same process as other tasks use to find the content (unlike the normal software updates step which has a special way of fidning updates), so it should work fine even with only AD bondaries. Are you deploying into a workgroup?

Is it possible to use the "Install Updates Offline" feature if you are only using AD-Sites as boundaries? So far I have not managed to get this step to work.
