You can upgrade a secondary site to a DP (it will not be a secondary any more, just a DP)... and most likely you will not need secondaries for all your sites, just the DP role.

Hi Johan,
I have attended the pre conference seminor. I have question. We have SCCM 2007 sec and DP installed on most of our servers, Now we are planning to use SCCM 2012 to patch these servers , so we need to install 2012 agents. Now should we need to upgrade Existing server to 2012 sec and DP or will it work as it is?
